National College for High Speed Rail to host iRail

The National College for High Speed Rail is set to be the host venue for iRail in May 2018. The event now in its 10th year, is a programme of in school workshops and a celebration enterprise event, aimed at  informing and engaging young people on the range of career opportunities in the railway industry.

Now part of the Big Bang and Careers and Enterprise fund initiatives, iRail will be the highlight of the rail industry calendar and we are thrilled to be hosting the event at our brand new state of the art campus in Birmingham.

The event not only showcases the rail industry but also demonstrates the science, apprenticeship and graduate engineering careers available and presents a unique opportunity for key players in the rail industry to network and interact with each other and young people.

Central to the day is the involvement of teams from local schools who go on industry visits and undertake engineering challenges to be judged by a panel of industry experts.
